About Trevor Hicks

I am an IT and software development leader with extensive experience in oil and gas exploration and production software technology. My passions are in process design and execution as well as employee recruitment, development, motivation and retention and in collaborating with business partners and translating business needs into engineering and technology plans.

I worked for Schlumberger, an oil services firm, from 1991 to early 2009 with some breaks to attend graduate school. My most senior positions were leading the Schlumberger Information Solutions Houston Technology Center, at the time the largest software development center in the company with more than 20 products and 300 employees and serving as the strategic transformation manager, writing an IT strategy with the CIO. During my time with Schlumberger, I also worked on systems for real-time data visualization, drilling, wireline, hydraulic fracturing and records management.

I hold a bachelor's degree in math from the University of Tulsa, a master’s degree in computer science from UT-Austin and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
